What is it?
It is a sport consisting on shooting a ball, with a paddle, from one part of the court to the other part, being both parts separated by a net. It is included within the kind of sports which are practised with a net separating both parts of the court, together with tennis and badminton. The most significant difference is that this sport is always played in couples and on an artificial grass court. The court is closed and players can use rebounds to shoot the ball, what permits a bigger continuity in the active part of this sport. It can be said that Paddle Tennis is the result of combining the basic elements of tennis and squash, resulting in a very atractive and demanding sport, both technically and physically.
Paddle Tennis can be practised in Infante D. Juan Manuel Sports Hall through six-monthly summons, from November to April and from May to October.
It will be published in this web site specifically when people can apply for booking any sport vacancy.
