The Town hall manages forty actions in sports facilities with an investment of 22 million Euros. .


The Cagigal’s sports centre the new soccer field of the Ranero and the construction of covered sports centre’s in villages are some of the big works.


The Councillorship of Sports, which Miguel Cacales directs, currently manages more than forty works of construction, restoration and conditioning in sports facilities in order to offer quality infrastructures to the citizens. The works will be finished throughout the year and 22 million Euros will be invested.


Among the main works carried out, we will find the construction of the sports’ centre in Cagigal, with an investment of 3 million Euros. This new sports’ space will have an indoor sports’ track and terraces with capacity for thousand spectators. Also Casillas will rely on a new sports’ centre that it will have a sport’s court with the capacity to practice indoor soccer, handball, basketball and volleyball; changing rooms, storage rooms and a hall.


Other one of the big movements is the construction of a new soccer field in El Ranero, with terraces, changing rooms and a canteen. The budget exceeds the million Euros.


The Town hall of Murcia believes on the investments in the villages. This way, 90 % of the budget is used for the construction and improvement of facilities in the villages. Sports’ centres will be carried out in Los Martínez de el Puerto (750.000 Euros), Lobosillo (750.000 Euros), Sucina (750.000 Euros), Jerónimo y Avileses (460.000 Euros), C.P. Los Dolores (609.999 Euros) and the IES Aljada in Puente Tocinos (381.782 Euros), among others; And it will be built a football-7 field and a paddle court in El Palmar (730.800 Euros). Also the sports’ track will be restored in Beniaján's Sport Centre (99.809 Euros).


Likewise, good part of the budget is invested in the repair and restoration of sports’ tracks in schools of the municipality.
The municipality of Murcia has turned into a national model due to the number and quality of its sports facilities. The murcianos rely on 404 facilities that occupy 1.100.000 square meters and that generate 800 jobs positions. 220.224 murcianos practice some sport in the municipal facilities, 51 % of the population of the whole municipality.

  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C.P. Ramón Gaya (Puente Tocinos).
  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C.P. San Félix (Zarandona).
  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C.P. San Juan Bautista (Alquerias).
  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C.P. Jose Martínez Tornel (Patiño).
  • Repair and restoration of the sport’s track in C.P. Juan Carlos I (Llano de Brujas).
  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C.P. Arteaga (Sucina).
  • Repair and restoration of the sports’ track in C. P. Virgen de la Fuensanta (La Alberca).

  • Wire fencing of the sports’track in C.P. Escultor Salzillo (San Ginés).
  • Wire fencing of the sports’track C.P. Puente Doñana (La Albatalía).
  • Installation of Football-7 and paddle court in El Palmar.
  • Construction of changing rooms in the Sports Centre of Llano de Brujas.
  • Construction of changing rooms in the Sports Centre in Raal.
  • Works improvements in the athletics tracks’ building in Espinardo.
  • Construction of a Sports Centre in the IES Infante.
  • Construction of Beniaján's Sports Centre.
